(b).Mathematics  and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class 12 th of  10+2+3 scheme of  education or Equivalent.

Technical( Mechanical/Electrical  /Electronics) : Should hold an engeenering degree  from a recognized  university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or  Automotive or

Mechatronics or Industrial or Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace .

Additional Eligibility Criteria :
a) Candidates withdrawn on discipline grounds from any other service training academy are eligibility to appear. 

b) Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges. 

c)Candidates who are debarred from appearing in any public service exam are not eligible to appear. 

d) Candidates who are studying on the final year /final semester of degree course and are yet to pass the year degree examination can also apply provided that the candidates should not have any backlog and should have passed all subject up to the last semester/year for which results have been declared at the time of submission of application. Such candidates have to produce a certificate signed by the Register/Controller of the concerned University regarding non declaration of final year /semester result (Format available on ICG website). They are required to submit proof of passing the degree examination (with requisite percentage in aggregate) by 30 Nov 25 and no request for extending this date will be declaration of results or any other ground whatsoever.

Selection process :
a) Stage -1 (Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT)) 
  Candidates for all branches shall appear in computer based online screening test known as CGCAT. The test will be conducted in designed centres located all over India. The test Comprises of 100 multiple choice questions carrying four marks each correct answer and one negative mark.

 b) Stage -2 : (Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)). 
 Based on the performance in the Stage-1, candidates will be  shortlisted for appearing in Stage-2 (PSB) which will be conducted for a day at Noida, Mumbai/Goa, Chennai, Kolkata, Shillong, & Gandhinagar centers. Candidates are to give their choice for PSB centre at the time of filling of application form. Candidates will be screened through a Computerised Congnitve Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test. The CCBT will be in English only and will be of objective type. During PP&DT the candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English, Hindi or combination of both. The Stage-2 examination is only of qualifying nature i.e either

2.Documents Verification 
 The candidates who have cleared PSB will be verified as per the documents uploaded by the candidates during registered for stage -2  in case of any discrepancy, the candidates will be cancelled and a Rejection Slip indicating the reasons for rejection will be handed over to the candidates. 

3.Allotment of Centres :- 
   As far as possible, candidates will be allotted centres of their choice However, ICG reserves the right to allot any other centre, if situation necessities. No request for change of centres and date will be entertained. 

C) Stage - 3 Final Selection Board

Note : The last date of induction at INA will tentatively be 27 Dec 2025.The exact date will be mentioned in Appointment letter. No further induction will be undertaken after 31-Dec-2025 Under any circumstances. 

Explanation on certain eligible criteria :
a) Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates are applicable
