1) Eligibility Conditions : 

  Online application are invited from MALE INDIAN CITIZENS possessing educational qualifications and age as prescribed below, for recruitment to the Post of Navik (General Duty) & Navik (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. 


2) Educational qualifications :

a. Navik (General Duty ) :

    Class 12 th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Board for School Education (COBSE). 


b. Navik (Domestic Branch). 

Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Board for School Education (COBSE). 


Note : Candidates are to fill marks of all subject as mentioned in their marksheet while filling the online application. Incorrect or Incomplete filling of marks in the online application will lead to cancellation of candidature. 


Age : 

  • Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years for Navik (GD) and Navik (DB). Candidates should be born between 01/Sep/2007 to 31/Aug/2007 (both dates Inclusive) applying for post of  Navik (GD) and Navik (DB) . 


Age relaxation of Categories :

SC/ST -  5 years 

OBC  -  3 years 


Stage - 2 Physical Fitness Test :

  •  1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes. 

  •  20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak). 

  •  10 Push-up. 

  •  Height 157 CMS Minimum

Details of Salary :

Navik (General Duty) :

Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- ( Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulations. 


Mathematics :

Mathematics Simplification, Ratio and Proportion, Algebraic identities, Linear Equation and Polynomials, Simultaneous Equations, Basic Trigonometry. 

Simple Mensuration, Geometry, Measures of Central Tendency (Average, Median and Mode). 


Interest, Profit, Loss and Percentage, Work, Time, Speed and Distance. 


English : 

 Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, change active to passive/passive to active voice. 


Change direct to indirect/indirect to direct, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites, Punctuation. 


Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonymous and Antonyms, Meaning of difficult words. 


Use of adjectives, Compound preposition, Use of pronouns. 


General Awareness :

Geography :Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland, Harbours. 

Culture and Religion, Freedom Movement, Important National Facts about Indian, Heritage, Arts and Dance. 


Current Affairs, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, Common Names, Full Forms and Abbreviations. 


Eminent Personalities, National Bird/Animal/Sport/Flower/Anthem/Song/Flag/Mountains.


 How to Apply  :


Documents to be uploaded during various stages of recruitment. The candidates will be required to upload documents in two phases. The candidates are to scan original documents (neither  photography nor self-attested photocopy is to be scanned) as application for post applied and upload as mentioned below during various stage of recruitment.

e) A valid Domicile Certificate is to be uploaded by all the candidates to determine the region of candidate for region wise recruitment. In states where both certificate. i.e.Domicile and Resident certificate are issued, only Domicile certificate will be accepted.
